Long before my Spiritual Awakening, I would often wonder;
What’s happening? Is something wrong with me? Why can’t I behave like others? Why can’t I be normal? Am I going crazy? Why do I feel lost? Why can’t anyone understand me? How do I fix this? Etc etc.
I tried doing lots of different things to “fix” myself.
I tried therapy, got dedicated to getting myself fit by going to the gym 5 times a week, changed my diet; started clean eating, making new friends, started reading a book per week on personality and self-development, did meditation & yoga, meet new people took their advice on this “issue” of mine, tried dating, got myself a job to keep busy. Basically, I did everything I am supposed to as per my best knowledge.
I kept trying. Harder every time. Thinking if I am persistent with this effort of mine things would eventually change.
But guess what?
Nothing changed at all. In fact, things got worse.
Everything seemed dark.
I desperately wanted to feel good and be happy which I was not able to. But I was not willing to give up on myself.
I prayed and prayed. I cried my heart out and asked God to make things better. I swore to be a good person if that is what he is punishing me for. And made promises to do better if all I got was a chance.
A chance for a Happier Life.
Little did I know that my perspective of looking at things back then was entirely biased. And that life has different plans for me which would completely change my way of thinking and living.
What is a Spiritual Awakening?
A Spiritual Awakening is a radical transmutation of the old you into a new you.
Much like an update. The way you Update your Phone?
But this is what the Universe is doing to you on an energetic level.
Everything starts changing and shifting. Body, Mind and Soul.
Your core remains the same but all the outdated habits and beliefs that kept you enslaved no longer have power over you. They vanish. Your light transmutes all the darkness of your old being into a new being.
You are coming home to yourself.
But everything isn’t just rainbows & unicorns.
That being said things, people, places, beliefs, patterns that no longer serve you are kicked out from your life.
During your awakening, you will be completely shattered at the beginning. And with those shattered pieces you have to build a new you. But the new you is even more beautiful like a Mosaic.
Many a time a Spiritual Awakening is so abrupt and intense that we may not even consider it to be one. We think of it as one of life’s unfortunate events but it has the power to transform you and your life completely.
I mean a 360-degree transformation!
The old you completely dies. Yes! You cannot even carry her ashes. She has to be buried and bid farewell to! Because only after death comes Birth.

Signs you’re going through a Spiritual Awakening
In this age of Aquarius, more and more of us have started getting spiritually conscious. We are finally beginning to realize that this world that we live in is nothing but an Illusion and there is much more than what meets the eye. Everything that we ever believed to be true about the soul and the workings of the spirit world, all the information that we have is just the tip of the iceberg. There is way more to explore. The quest for Spiritual Enlightenment has thus begun.
All the sacred texts across the globe said one thing in common. That is,
The Soul is Eternal.
Many of us are waking up to this reality. People are digging deeper and deeper and wanting to know the real truth. Hundreds of videos, articles, podcasts are released every day conveying this message. And here is my take on it.
Here are some of the things that I experienced during my Spiritual Awakening hope this helps!
1)Seeing Signs & Synchronicities
Do you often see repeating numbers like 11:11,10:10, 00:00, 444, 555, etc? Like you look at your phone and it’s 12:12 Pm? You’re crossing the road and you see the car number plate is 7777! You order food and the bill amount is 333! Do you experience such things? Or is that you see butterflies or dragonflies often? Is there some song that keeps on playing no matter where you go? Like it is trying to convey a message to you? You open Youtube and there’s some random message that seems weird but somehow it resonates. It could be anything that you feel drawn to. Like seeing rainbows, hearing specific songs on repeat etc
I often saw many signs like the above. Many people experience the same while going through a Spiritual Awakening.
2) Vivid Dreams
Are your dreams more vivid and supernatural lately? Do you see snakes? Or a deceased loved one? Or have some recurring dreams these days? Or some deity that you connect to like a God or Goddess that you are seeing in your dream perpetually. Our Dreamtime is the portal through which the spirit world can give us important upcoming messages clearly that we may not understand during our waking time. Seeing Vivid dreams is a common thing for those going through an awakening.
3) Connecting with Animals
During your Awakening, a lot changes as I said earlier. One of which is connecting to the Animal Kingdom. And by that, I mean animals, birds, insects, everything that comprises the animal kingdom. Is there any specific pet that you feel connected to lately? Or has any animal like a pet dog, cat or any bird that has suddenly come into your life? Directly or Indirectly? It could your spirit animal or totem animal.
4) Waking up at Midnight
Do you wake up suddenly at the exact time every night? Like 3 am? Or 4 am? Anywhere from 2-5 am? I mean the exact time every single day? No matter what you seem to wake at that very time every single day? It could be for a week, a few weeks or a month, maybe even more. If so, don’t freak out! There’s no need to be afraid. Our bodies are going through a lot energetically during an awakening this may be one of the reasons for you waking up at a specific time every night. The next time you wake up in the middle of the night, close your eyes and just breathe. Try connecting to your heart and listen to what it has to say. You’ll be amazed! And you may even get an answer.
5) Existential Crisis
A major sign of a Spiritual Awakening is going through an identity or existential crisis. One starts to question all things in his/her life. And also to the things around. Ideologies, Theories, Beliefs and Values. Everything that they once believed no longer makes sense. You may think that you liked a thing but those things no longer give you peace and satisfaction. Your world seems falling apart. It is like a Tower phase from the tarot cards.
6)Curiosity in the Occult
Do you feel an urge to know the deeper meaning of life? Like the mysteries of life? Things like who am I? Where does the soul come from? Where does it go after we die? Things like that? Or is it that you have started gravitating to the science of metaphysics like the quantum field, chakras, aura? If so, you’re most likely a spiritual person and are experiencing or soon going to go through an Awakening.
7) Losing people
You start losing a lot of people in your life. Especially your near dear ones. You no longer can resonate with them and vice versa. Many often start having fights with their loved ones which would never happen earlier. There is often a clash in thought processes and opinions. And you start seeing them for who they are as supposed to who you thought they were.
8) You develop Empathy
As your values change you also start looking at things from a different perspective. You see people for who they are. Rather than what you assumed them to be. You can sense their pain. Feel their pain. And hence you start having empathy for them. You understand their pain not just from a theoretical point of view but you can actually feel it. Here’s a little more about Empathy.
You may be experiencing all of the above signs or at least 6 of them! If so, be rest assured that nothing is wrong with you! Nothing Ever Was. As more and more people are getting conscious of their lifestyle choices they are waking up to the reality of what life really is. You may feel you are alone but this is my promise to you that you are not. You are embarking on a new phase in your life something that your soul is well aware of and definitely signed up for! And that which your Higher Self is very proud of! The reason for which you’ll soon understand! Also, nobody is too young or too old to go through a Spiritual Awakening. Your soul doesn’t have an age though your body may.
